Inflation knocks (down) me too…

It was during my last visit to one of my favorite mallu food joints in Mumbai, the Deluxe
hotel that I noticed a very strange alteration in the menu card. The otherwise smartly printed card was full of corrections with pen…I mean in a column of the menu which is very close to me and my pockets, the pricelist. My eyes swiftly caught the trend of those alterations…it was an upward movement. My favorite Porotta and chicken curry now costs me a good Rs.73/-, where as previously it was Rs.58/-.

Now I know what is all this hue and cry about Inflation. I read an article in Economic times recently that Inflation is at an all time high and the cluster of society that suffers the most is our UPA govts very own “AAM AADMI”. I still wonder whenever some thing good happen to our economy (like the bull run in the stock markets), the people who benefit are mostly form a niche part of our society (usually the well-off, so called upper class) and whenever some thing bad happens (like the Inflation phenomenon) the people who get battered are always the people like me and you - the “AAM AADMI”.

I remember my aunt complaining about the rice in prices of Vegetables, Groceries and yes she told me this – “Whatever is available in the market, every thing has become costly including the broom which I bought yesterday”! At that time I took her anger as an exaggeration of the price rise…but now with an altered menu at deluxe hotel, I realize inflation is running down deep not only into my pockets but also presumably in to the wallets of all other bachelors who live alone as well.
Down down Inflation...We want to live with a surplus domestic budjet...
