Yes...There it is...A ball from the blue...This time the ball was thrown out by our Supreme court.Did u caught (got) it right Mr.Ramadoss ? Eminent Surgeon Mr.Venugopal is back at the helm of affairs in AIIMS,Indias prominent medical institution.It was indeed a set back for our central goverment(is it the right term ?) when the apex court quashed the AIIMS Amendment bill, which fixed the retirement age of Directors at 65years, as it was approved by our Parliament(read the rulling Coalition).This bill was devised with great pain by our health Minister Mr.Anbumani Ramadoss and exclusively customised for Dr.Venugopal with the sole aim of ousting him from AIIMS.There was some unsettling urgency in how the Bill was passed and the way in which Ramadoss brought in a supplemetary resolution seeking removal of Dr.Venugopal.
It was a draconian step and Mr.Ramadoss...this is not the time of Dictator Ship.
Dr.Venugopal is one of India's best known heart surgeons and the man who conducted the first heart transplant in our country.Thank God...we can still trust our Judicial system...
Kudos Dr.Venugopal for fighting tooth and nail against the system...Kudos Indain Judiciary for bringing this man back to the place where he belongs ! Now Ramadoss can concentrate on his search for Screen smokers and yes...screen drinkers as well !
